Mana-Sama Blythe Knockoff (1:6)

The beautiful and mysterious 💙Mana-Sama💙 (of MALICE MIZER & Moi Dix Mois, as well as other projects in fashion and music production!) – He has been my favourite since I was 15. I want to make a tribute to him for inspiring me for so many years in my own EGA fashion, gothic art, and early web design projects. Updates on this project below 👇

Update August 5th 2026 – I have bought the doll I think will be best for this. I have also gotten a few EGL/EGA style dresses and shoes which I may or may not use in his completed outfit. I’m leaning forward a more EGA look, because it’s always been one of my favourite styles. I’m looking into how to customise eyes, and a good reference for Mana-Sama’s hairstyle. He will need extra lashes, painting/drawing, and I would much prefer the half-shut eyes. I just asked Gemini about the eyes and it sounds like a pain in the arse to do, but I’m gonna try!

This is obviously a knockoff of Blythe. It was $27 lol. The brand is ICY DBS, I hadn’t heard of it until I started looking for a Blythe. If I really screw up and completely total the doll, it won’t be a $250 loss. Sometimes, knockoffs can be a good thing. 💙

I think this is a great base for Mana-Sama! With half shut eyes, lots of extra lashes and dramatic makeup, I’m thinking it will capture his most common facial expression well. I’m just gonna say it, resting bitch face. Beautiful, enigmatic rbf, but rbf nonetheless 😆 Anyhoo, I got this doll for the pale complexion and midnight blue hair. It looks like there’s enough to style reasonably and not run out of hair. I hope I’m not wrong.

Once I get the hairstyle sorted, I’ll have my stainless steel chopsticks heated and ready for curling!
