I got this doll in a mystery lot at a Salvation Army. I felt around and figured there had to be a large doll buried in the center. I thought “oh no it’s probably a creepy babydoll and I’ll have to see it AND touch it.” Gag. I can’t stand “babydolls”, the kind that are infants or the porcelain ones that have childlike faces. Basically anything that resembles a kid. I’m not sure why those repulse me so, but maybe I’ve watched one too many movies about creepy, demonic kids and babies. Why babies? You ever seen The Unborn (the one with Sally Field) and similar movies? Rosemary’s Baby? The Omen???
Anyhow, the doll buried in the center of the bag turned out to be a lovely porcelain doll that was anything but creepy. Pretty blue glass eyes, light brown hair in curls, and a Renaissance inspired gown. I took a few pictures to post on my personal blog and uploaded them, expecting to show her beauty to the maybe two lurkers who read it. I guess glass eyes don’t always show up well in photos.
If anyone with a good knowledge of iPhone photography stumbles across this, please tell me how to never take a pic like that again lol. What do I need to change to make the glass eyes not resemble empty creepypasta-ish sockets? 😬
Taken with iPhone 14. I just upgraded to 16. The lady at the AT&T store said the camera made a big jump in quality. They made a change in the photos I kind of hate, but we shan’t get into that. It’s a really nice phone and I’d love to know what else I can do to produce better pictures! There is so much I don’t know about different settings and stuff 😅
