United Colours of Benneton Christie came in the mail, and her legs aren’t nearly as shiny as they appeared on Mercari! She’s a really pretty doll.

Thank god the hair isn’t so tangled. I dread washing any doll hair though.
Legs look pretty normal to me! No evidence of any cat maulings, bad haircuts, or ink stains.

I’ll give her a bath and try to not screw up her hair! I’m not sure if this is kanekelon but I’ve had some bad luck with that hair before.

I have another Christie who has beautiful curls. Those beautiful curls have also been there since 1988 and are a tad matted and I don’t want to say crusty. Maybe dusty. I adamantly want to keep her curls but it NEEDS cleaning, but I am scared to even touch that hair! So, on the shelf she sits, right next to Golden Dream Barbie. I’m scared to touch her hair as well! I want to wash it so bad 😭

See??

Anyhoo.

Before, I was complaining about my lack of doll accessories, jewelry in particular. So, I went to Etsy!

I found Dugdale’s Doll Decor, a shop with some beautiful jewelry.

I looked for necklaces and earrings, and found them~

Themed set of a necklace, bracelet and earrings! The flowers are a pale pink and remind me of cherry blossoms, which I love! I’m not sure if they are supposed to be sakura or not.

A lovely necklace with a white pearlescent blossom! There are shiny bits, which I assume are rhinestones or something. So pretty!

A themed set of a cherry necklace, earrings and bracelet!

A winged heart. It made me think of Sailor Moon, which flew it directly to my cart. 😸
Finally got a decent pic! That was difficult, it just would not work with me.

I am not close to being done shopping there! The owner(s) are nice people as well. The delivery was lightning fast, from the UK of all places! Royal Mail usually feels slow, but they zooped this one across the pond in record time. To anyone looking for nice, inexpensive 1:6 jewelry, I strongly recommend this shop.

Onto the next!

I discovered I like these things for my dolls, things which I have temporarily forgotten the name of.

These things. I got three sets, each having several colours. Hair bands?

The answer is ‘head bands’. Duh. I got them from MomNeedsABreak’s Etsy shop. These are far sturdier than the more aesthetically pleasing faux velvet bendable ones I have. But that’s why a DIY ethos is great! I can always tart them up if need be. 😁

And because I feel the need to document even the most mundane things I buy…

Rubber hair bands, supposed to be the type that wont rot and disentigrate. From ShimmerLock’s Etsy shop!

There might be a flurry of posts coming. I have a beautiful vintage dress (Golden Girl I think) newly on Beauty Queen Barbie that I have yet to photograph. Still trying to lessen that backlog too. I remembered that I never posted the completed A Very British Dreamhouse Midge outfit! That was the first project I completed, don’t know how I could have forgotten.
