I got some clothing and cobbled together a few outfits. Miss Independence got to model!
The shirt and skirt is the outfit that came together. The daisy earrings also arrived yesterday and I’ll take proper photo’s of those and the other jewelry that came. I’m a little disappointed that the pencil skirt isn’t more form-fitting. It’s a bit lumpy. I don’t know if I can alter it, considering my current skill level in sewing 🙁 I had a hard time finding a good filter for the mood I wanted. Oddly, most of them looked similar on this pic. I have noticed that a lot I’ve put together are just red and white 🤔 The white miniskirt is from HaunteCoutureAtelier’s Etsy shop. I recommend them! Tons of cool, alternative doll clothes with choices of fit for various dolls!The athletic socks were for the 1980 Rollerskating Barbie outfit (the original socks are SO underwhelming), but her skates wouldn’t fit over them. I don’t always want to stick to the exact original outfit.Unrelated new shoes. I didn’t use VSCO’s filters to do plain accessories and clothes alone, but iPhone 16 changed their primordial set of filters to “styles”. I’m not crazy about it. The feet look bruised because of my playing with the colours 😅I think this dress is from an outfit named Golden Girl. It is an incomplete outfit, so the seller handmade a number of matching accessories! She’s wearing the shoes and headdress they made, but not the necklace or earrings. My clumsy sausage fingers broke one :(. She is wearing these gaudy pearl nightmares in their place. Also, the wig. It seems lopsided. I’m never sure I have it positioned right. It’s an odd style, seems like it’s 50% bangs! I do not think it’s Beauty Queen or even Mattel. If I could style it properly it would be really cute but that might require a little snipping. 🫤 I got the dress and it’s accessories from AllDolledUpChic on Etsy, who I’d recommend!Wig looks somewhat better here!I’m shocked that this doll still has nail polish. Better look at the beautiful fabric and belt! I heated her hand to get the bracelet on. It was an ordeal.
I posted some of these a while back, and they were absolutely balls. With a background, a better choice of filters and a lot of tweaking, they look infinitely better and actually have a mood.
