I decided to wash some dolls.

This is Brunette Chocolate Bon Bon Barbie. She has a little bit of, um…that.

I have never come across hair like this. The whole top is bald. It’s worse than what I’m showing.
I’m letting it air dry. I tried to cover the bald place while the hair is wet so maybe it will dry that way?

I wonder if that’s why her hair was in a ponytail…

She’s got a big ponytail kink I’m going to have to get rid of. Pouring hot water on a doll scares me. Another odd thing, she doesn’t have a loose neck peg. Head pops right off like it is meant to be interchangeable, ala Beauty Queen. I just think it’s weird. If anyone has whatever need-to-know info I’m missing, please tell me 😬

Dirty bird got a nice bath. Her head is fine.

I actually hurt my back scrubbing this nasty doll!

Still soaking! I’ll have to do a second toothbrush round. She is significantly less disgustang and I no longer feel the need to wash my hands three times after touching that body. I was so happy to toss the two quarantine boxes. Icky.

I washed and conditioned the rest of my gals. Christie looks like I didn’t ruin her hair! Hurry up and dry so I can style you.

I hope it will retain its volume.

Cat chin girl and another head!

I think I’ll rebody all my New Dramatic Living Whatever dolls. I don’t care whether or not they’re on their original bodies or in their original clothes. Don’t care if they’ve been customised, tarted up, tarted down, skin dyed, whatever. As long as they look great.

Much like Doctor Frankenstein, I prefer to mix and match. 🪡
