My “Blythe” Arrived~!

The Blythe knockoff that is the base doll for my 💙Mana-Sama💙 custom came today along with an outfit (not the one I hoped for today) and a few other unrelated things. I was looking at Blythe dolls (real ones) and Pullips on Flickr many many years ago. I love the look of these dolls. One thing I didn’t know is how large Blythes are. I always thought they were about half the size, like smaller than Barbie. Pretty sure the ICY dbs factory doll knockoffs are the same size.

I’m pretty impressed by this doll! She’s articulated as frick (Blythes aren’t) and very pretty. I bought a few outfits and another doll. The gothic Nun outfit came with her. I thought it would be the black EGL dress, but anyways! I tried using my shortest adjustable doll stand so I could take a few pics, but it was like a dog trying to walk on ice. Her feet were sliding all over the place, and her legs did not want to stand straight up no matter what I tried. So I put her in a chair. I know it’s more difficult to see the outfit in a sitting position. 😅

I love this outfit a lot even though I was hoping for the EGL dress. I think it’s called Halloween Nun or something. From AliEx, of course! There’s no shortage of “Blythe” clothing there! This is probably not the outfit I’m ultimately using for the custom project.

The hair is shedding a little. It’s very soft and silky and difficult to work around lol
Not the best view of these really nice heeled boots. Bought separately from the nun getup, on AliEx. It was difficult to get them on those articulated feet! I had to unlace them which was kind of annoying, and my meaty arthritic fingers can’t tie such a small bow. It looks horribly sloppy. I need help! 😭
Came with socks I didn’t use. Nice to have, though!
Lots of hands! I switched hers to balled up fists for some reason.

More tiny cocktails to hoard! They’re 1:12 but they work fine. I’ll take decent pics for the next miniatures post.

I recently discovered Mofusand cats. Lordt help my wallet. They are so freaking cute! I got one that can be attached to a backpack or bag and it’s..nothing should be that cute. It’s not fair to the other cute things in the world.
