The A Very British Dreamhouse Midge outfit has been complete for a couple of months, and I somehow forgot to post it. You can find most of this post on her project page (not complete) so these things will be easier to find in the future.

Here are the results of all my searching and cobbling. I realised afterward that I forgot her shopping bag, ring and sunglasses. I did wind up switching her baker boy cap for a plastic one because it looked better, and the glasses would not fit on the cap. I probably could have attached them somehow but….meh.

The outfit consists of:

A white plastic cap from Mercari. No idea what doll it belonged to. Seller: Jessica Miley

An early 90s NKotB Donnie Wahlberg doll jacket. It actually fit her, which I was a little worried about. Cleaning it was hard. It combines the Union Jack and American flag, which I love! Seller: TrashPandaKreations on eBay.

Geri Halliwell’s Very, very short Union Jack minidress. This is what inspired me to begin with. It’s from one of the 90s Galoob Spice Girls dolls. I had to adjust it many times while taking pics because it kept riding both up and down lol. She still had all her accessories even though the box had been opened. There’s a doll sized Spice Girls mini magazine which I’m definitely going to use as a prop. Also, the blue underwear that came with Geri’s dress. Thank God. Without those, it might have been obscene! 90s Galoob boots! They also belonged to one of Geri’s dolls. I think it was a World Tour doll. Well, I only found one pair and it was in a decent sized lot of 90s Galoob Spice Girls boots. It wasn’t cheap, but I’m glad I have the rest of those boots now. They are super cool. Seller: pinkhillsouth on eBay.

A pair of white fishnets from miniminiplace’s Etsy shop.

A white belt from, well, I’m not sure. I can’t find it in my Etsy purchases so we’re just gonna say it’s from either Temu or AliEx. It has an actual buckle instead of Velcro though, so I question that. I’ll update with credit if I find where I got it.

Cheap red plastic earrings from AliEx. Dreamhouse Midge has unusually large piercings. The pretty earrings I originally bought on Etsy fell right out. ☹️

The Eiffel Tower necklace (not British. I know.) and pop art cuff are both from TinyFrockShop which has both new and used dolls and clothes. Mostly Integrity with the new stuff and dolls. They also carry lots of unique jewellery and I’ve bought from them several times. Also, furniture, photography stuff, diy stuff, fabric, doll furniture and other miniatures, and so on. I like that store, can you tell? My cart there is full of stuff I don’t need to buy 😅

Cute ring from Dollsydoll’s Etsy. They gave me two more rings as a gift! I took it off because I was afraid I’d lose it and forgot to put it back on. Duh. Love this seller, they are so generous with those freebies!

Earrings from LoreebyLane’s Etsy. They’re so cute. I bought a blue pair and a red pair and was going to give Midge one of each. So sad her piercings were too large. ☹️ I’ve used them for other dolls with NORMAL earholes, so I’m pleased to have them in the wardrobe.

A pretty good quality London themed paper shopping bag from Lamiane’s Etsy. Can’t believe I forgot this, ugh. I shall find other other uses.

A pair of “Bubble Round Red Zig Zag Zoom Summer Nights 3445 3454 Japan” sunglasses originally made for Francie. Seller: wildamaryllis on eBay.

A “vintage Barbie Match Mates red purse 1960s”. Seller: njlyons01 on eBay. I decided to use the shopping bag instead.

I’ll show some of the original pictures that had most of these things. I might have before but my memory sucks. I basically trashed them because of the cloth baker boy cap. It’s a nice cap, but getting it on her head without screwing up hair, particularly the front, was so difficult. It also got bent out of shape and I got so tired of trying to fix it. I wasn’t able to get it right, which can be seen in the old bad photos.

I think I’ve gone on long enough. More pictures!

Both my Life in the Dreamhouse Midge’s. I thrifted British Midge and got the other on eBay. Easily the prettiest iteration of Midge. I my opinion. 🙂 I think thrifted Midge might have gotten a haircut since her hair is half the length of the other, but it isn’t bad at all! That kid is going places, wonder if they’re now a hairstylist…

Well, that’s it. I hope it was pleasing to the eyes.

It’s taken days and I’m still not done with the first one. Formerly British Midge is the subject of one of them! She’s an ART STAR.
