For those not familiar, VSCO is a photo and video editor, which you can download from the app store. I have an iPhone so I don’t know which other devices support it. Most use it for the beautiful cinematic filter effects, and they are indeed pretty. There is an AI Remove tool to get rid of stray hairs, thank god! It does plenty more, but…errant hairs must go.
I got a pro subscription ($15 monthly) and so far it’s been a great tool and a joy to tinker with. With all the filters and effects to play around with, I wound up with what I’d consider to be some pretty good doll photos!

Why no full body? I don’t have matching silver boots and I’m picky about things like that. I love what this filter (and other mild tweaking) did. It added colours to what was a not very colourful scene. It really made the silvery chromatic jumper pop!
So, is it worth $15 every month? I would say yes. I do think the cost could be a bit less, however. I’m still learning about all the features, so that opinion could change.
I’m for sure switching to annual billing.
Also, I just need to rave about this XianXian doll. I tried to get her for months but every place I looked, she wasn’t available. This seems to happen to lots of things I want to buy. That specific thing will disappear from Temu, Aliexpress and eBay…almost like it’s synchronised. So weird. It’s a conspiracy, I tell you!
I’ll be making a big photo post once I’ve fixed up the rest of this batch, which isn’t complete! I have so many outfits and ideas. My doll stands are giving me grief too, even XianXian girls want to fall off the stands that are made for them specifically! Is there a stable but unintrusive straddle stand that accomodates slightly taller dolls but also supports Barbie and similar?
The backlog of posts is driving me bonkers.
I finally opened some Miniverse & Minibrands capsules after them sitting around for a few months. I’ll make that one now-ish 😬
